CURRENT ROADBLOCK

Dear guests!

In order to keep the public road and transport network up-to-date for you, you are faced with various construction works and related locks this year. After the Covid lockdown, the time window for the executing companies has been shortened and the work falls in the high holiday season.

Heavy rains have unfortunately led to mudslides and floods in the past few days. This cleanup also takes time. Below you will find an up-to-date overview of the most important traffic obstructions. We thank you for your patience and understanding!

Jochstrasse

Due to the storms in summer, the Jochalmstraße will be completely renovated from October 13th, 2021 up to and including November 20th, 2021.
The road is closed for mountain bikers and hikers without exception!

Pass Lueg

The B159 Salzachtal Straße is completely closed at Pass Lueg between Golling and Stegenwald in the summer months and then again in autumn on certain days.

The reason is the dismantling of the 110kV line and the work on the new 380kV Salzburg line in this area. The route is diverted via the A10 Tauern Autobahn, a bus transfer service will be set up for cyclists. From now on, in the summer months and autumn, the B159 will be closed on a daily basis at Pass Lueg

Two more masts will be erected during this period. Rope work requires another planned closure from October 23 to 29, this time daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and from November 2 to 5, 2021.

Dodge via the A10

During the closing times, the diversion takes place via the A10 Tauern Autobahn through the Hiefler and Ofenauer tunnels between the Golling and Pass Lueg junctions. A vignette is required on the motorway. Access to the Hotel Pass Lueg / Salzachklamm in the north is possible, as is access to the driving safety center and the hunting center in the south.

Hourly bike shuttle bus

For users of the Tauern Cycle Path along the Salzach, a free bike transfer will be set up during the closure for the 380kV Salzburg line. In July and August a shuttle bus will run every hour between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., in September and October between 7 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. and in November from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Collection points are at the Hotel Pass Lueg and the Gasthaus Stegenwald.
