GOLLING FORTRESS MUSEUM
Currently there is a special exhibition called "NAPOLEON AM PASS LUEG – Widerstand anno 1809" at the Golling fortress museum! This exhibition depicts a journey through time which was created with passion for detail and will, for sure, enchant young and old.
Built into the rocks on the side of a hill in the heart of the village of Golling there is a fortress whose origins date back over a thousand years.
Alongside the „Saurier & Co“ collection of fossils with the centrepiece of the collection, a 235-million year old sea dinosaur, the fortress also puts on tours of the torture chambers and stages a medieval festival renowned far beyond the boundaries of the village, as well as the highly cherished Little Festival held in the Fortress of Golling.
Golling Fortress Museum invites visitors of all ages to take a fascinating trip back into the history of Golling and the surrounding area!
