CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
Cross country skiers live longer!This is the perfect place to be for those who love an unspoilt natural environment, perfectly prepared ski tracks (Loipen) and the peace and quiet of an area far from the noise and crowds in the larger skiing resorts!
Exercise, fresh air and wonderful winter surroundings all contribute to a
relaxing feeling of wellbeing. Come and see for yourself!
Cross country skiing is great for young and old alike. Inexpensive and easy
to learn, cross country skiing can be as strenuous or relaxing as you feel
up to. It can take an hour or a whole day, and all this against a stunning
alpine backdrop.
Golling also boasts the incredibly beautiful surroundings of the Bluntau
circuit, leading through the nature reserve! The start and finish is Gasthof
Göllhof (distance 8.2 km, easy/medium) or the shorter ‘Salzachufer-loipe’
right in the village of Golling (distance 4.3 km, easy).
Or there is the Göll-loipe track, mostly across fields and pasture at the foot
of the Kleiner Göll mountain (distance 4.1 km, easy).
The Loipe Moosegg circuit is also well worth a go, at the foot of the
Schwarzenberg in beautiful surroundings.
There is a total of 40 well-prepared Nordic and cross country skiing tracks
in the Tennengau region; 15 for the so-called ‘skating’ style and 3 are floodlit!
So get your skis on!
